Case study:

Male patient presents with chronic low back pain, shooting pain down his leg and into his buttocks. He has been to another chiropractic for over 3 years. MRI showed moderate disc bulge and thinning disc. He has not gotten any relief from medications or chiropractor. Pain 9/10

Exam: Reveals disc involvement,severe muscle imbalances, moderate scoliosis. Neurologic exam was negative. Motor/sensory all intact.

Treatment: Treatment consisted of manual adjustments, muscle stripping and stretching, strengthening of muscles, decompression, and other treatment to reduce the curvature.

Progress: Decreased scoliotic curvature by over half, now has intermittant pain due to TOO much activity by the patient now that he feels better (pain 1/10 at worst). Treatment took 1.5 months.
